Update 2.0.3
Hi Everyone!
Thanks for your patience over the last week, since I haven't been super active on the Discord. I've been sick with the flu, so I took the opportunity to take a little break from development and community intereaction. I needed the time away, anyway! The weeks after a major release are always a whirlwind. Today I've got a small update for the game, a community spotlight, and a few words about the Patreon launch and the delayed stuff.
Update 2.0.3
This update includes a variety of general typo fixes, grammar fixes, and rules clarifications. Language has been made more consistent across the board. There's still more to be done (always), but I've been sick, so this is all you get for now! Oh and also, I'm making steps to improve version numbering in downloads. From now on, the game will now be downloadable as a single zip file containing all the materials, and each file will be clearly labeled with its version number.
Community Spotlight
There have been a lot of exciting developments on the Trespasser Discord, and I just wanted to highlight a few really awesome new creations by members of the community:
Overlord: Trespasser Statblock Library & Editor (by PRΞY)
PRΞY has really gone out of his way here to create a fantastic statblock editor for Trespasser. He chose a badass name, too. Using Overlord, you can build up your collection of core and homebrew Trespasser monsters, design new ones, and bundle and export them easily for posterity and community sharing. He has already done the impressive work of transcribing every base monster from the core book and the Laughing Hound into a bundle that you can immediately load to use as a foundation for your collection. Thank you for the incredible work, PRΞY. I will be using this a ton.
Key Features:
- A visual statblock preview with multiple export and share capabilities, including the ability to export your statblock as either .PNG or .PDF.
- An organized library to store and search your statblocks, with filter & search functionality for Name, Level, TR, Role, Bundles, and even favorites.
- An interactive editor with both form-based and YAML options.
- Tools for creating, uploading, and merging bundles of statblocks in .YAML or .JSON format.
- Local, offline storage with backup options to easily move your collection between devices.
Foundry Support for Trespasser v2 (by Olivia)
I am a babe in the woods when it comes to VTTs, but what I know is this: community member Olivia has been working hard with one of their players since the release of v2 to create a Foundry system, and it should be reaching a sharable state in the near future! She's got a thread going on the #vtt-and-more channel on the Discord, so if you check in there I am sure you will see more soon. When she does, I will definitely be announcing again, since I know VTT support has been much-sought-after by members of the community. VTT support is so important for the success of a game in this day and age, so thank you so much for your work, Olivia!
Current Features:
- Character sheets with automated stats/roll/equipment calculations and focus tracking.
- Monster sheets that you can target to automatically roll against their guard/resist.
Planned Features
- One click initiative button for everyone in the combat
- Haven sheets
- Integrating sheet status effects with Foundry status effects (they're sheet bound for now) (probably will be done by Sunday)
- Clocks
Google Doc Character & Commoner Records (by Dezorey)
Dezorey has created a Google Docs version of the character sheet and the commoner sheet. They are intended to be used to help online players create synced character sheets, and more explanation is listed in the document. I am always super appreciative of community members who put together tools to make Trespasser easier for online play, since it's an area I have so little experience in. Thank you, Dezorey!
What's Next?
As I mentioned in my last devlog, the next thing coming will be the Patreon Launch, which will herald the start of the big 2025 Trespasser content push. I will be working on there to add tons of monsters, mini dungeons, magic items, and anything else I think of! Further, I'll be running regular design streams where I'll be showing my process, etc.
My hope is that over the course of the next year, I will have a much larger library of enemies, with all the classics covered. As we all know, there are a LOT of classics missing from the selection!
The launch has been delayed a bit by my sickness, but you can expect it by the end of the month.

This all seems great! Have you dedicated any thought to a physical release at some point? I ask because I love books and struggle to read pdfs. :D
