Update 2.1

At long last, Trespasser returns! While this isn't a new version as huge as the switch from v1 to v2, this update is pretty big. I've been calling it the Dungeon Update because so much of the new and revised content ended up having to do with exploration and dungeon design, but it addresses some issues with the core system- probably some of the last big changes that will be made to it! Detailed update notes are included in the new zip file, but here are just a few things you can find in the new version:

  • A revised action system that fixes a lot of movement and action issues of the previous version.
  • More structure focus economy in combat that addresses the alpha strike issues of the previous version
  • A handful of fixes to core systems, such as tempt fate.
  • A new system of plights, lasting conditions that affect your abilities during dungeon crawling.
  • Two new crafts, Radiance and Gloom
  • Magic Scrolls and Esoterica
  • Improved Magic Implements
  • Detailed guidance on dungeon design and room creation.
  • Guidance on building encounters.
  • A brand new First Day adventure, Echoing Cistern
  • New monsters, including cavern crawlers, dryads, dwarves, elves, gargoyles, vampires, and more!

Another big announcement is that now that the game is nearly feature-complete, I'm changing to it to be paid. I need to get an art budget together! I've been talking to a handful of really talented individuals re: layout, editing and art, so this next stage of the project is set to begin soon. This change to pricing shouldn't affect you if you've already paid for the product, but on the offchance you lose access to the game, contact me in the Discord server and I'll send you a copy. There will be a link on there for a free download for a week as I make sure everything is sorted.
